

Diploma in Community Welfare
This course is particularly intended for people fascinated in working in welfare service delivery, client work, group work, community development projects, and community health promotion. Students are taught to work with clients from varying backgrounds and people with disabilities. Students are trained to work at a superior skill level and supervise other staff and volunteers.
What You'll Learn in this Course?
This qualification equips students with the practical skills and knowledge to manage the service delivery of community service organisations. Students learn skills in consultation, community program, development, group work, advocacy, case management, policy and reasearch. They also learn skills in the work safety and the work environment. They undertake projects that involve working as part of a team and with the community.
Work Experience, Events and Activities
As part of this course students will undertake a supervised or simulated work placement where they are able to apply the skills and knowledge learnt.
Carrer Outcomes
Graduates of this course can gain employment as a community worker, case manager, case coordinator, program manager, program coordinator, welfare worker, family services coordinator and assessor.
